Over the summer Dave and I went on a Mexico vacation. We went to the Valentin Maya Resort! Our plans to really start trying for baby number 2 were going to be a couple of months after we returned from Mexico. Once we got back I started practicing for a crossfit competition that I had signed up for before our trip. The Sunday before the competition I was at our competitor class and was dragging. I could not keep up and my cardio was terrible (my cardio is usually pretty good). After the class I told my friend Jessica that I was going to take a pregnancy test because I just did not feel right. So sure enough I took it and it was positive! So this just shows you, sometimes our plans are not on the same schedule as the Lords. I told my OBGYN (who owns the crossfit box I go to) that I was expecting and asked if she thought I could do my competition. She told me I could but to make sure to eat enough and stay hydrated that day. So I ended up doing the competition! I was on a team of 3 and we got 3rd overall! Since then I have not been doing to well getting back to crossfit Of course the first tri-mester is always hard because of being nauseous and tired but I am in the second now and need to get my booty back to the box! Anyways, back to the baby....I did the chromosome testing which lets you find out the sex of your child a lot sooner than normal. Once the results were in I had the doctors office seal it in an envelope and we gave it to our friends that were going to help with the gender reveal. A little back story, we had an awesome gender reveal when we found out we were having a boy. Our pictures of it were great. So I knew I would have to do something just a cool and fun for the next one. I started re-searching firetruck gender reveals. (my husband is a fireman) I found about 4 that other people had done. I knew I wanted our little boy Rhett to be involved. So we ordered him toddler bunker gear from Amazon. to wear because his dad was going to be wearing his during the reveal. Since we were using the firetruck we had to keep it in its district (incase it had to go on a call) so we decided to do the reveal at an awesome restaurant in Weatherford called Sheps Place. This also allowed us to have appetizers for everyone and some sweet treats afterwards! We did the reveal on November3rd and were surrounded by many friends and family! Dave and I were in complete shock that we were having a girl. We were certain that it was another boy. Needless to say we are so excited and can not wait to welcome this little girl to the family.
